The World’s Worst Monsters by David Walliams

The World’s Worst Monsters is a collection in David Walliams’ World’s Worst series, this time turning from naughty children, parents, teachers and pets to the creatures that lurk in the shadows. Ten tales feature a monstrous line-up that includes vampires, werewolves, mummies, ghosts and zombies.

The scares are mostly for laughs, with plenty of gross-out humour and surprising twists, and Adam Stower’s full-colour illustrations bring each monster vividly to life. A fun pick for young readers who like their stories a little spooky and a lot silly.
