Summer in the City by Alex Aster

Summer in the City is a contemporary romance by Alex Aster about Elle, a twenty-seven-year-old screenwriter who lands the chance to write a big-budget film set in New York, despite months of writer’s block and a script due by the end of summer.

Back in the city she cannot stand, she discovers her new neighbour is Parker Warren, a handsome tech billionaire and the man she once had a fling with in a stairwell. When he needs a convincing girlfriend during a delicate company deal and she needs to research classic New York date spots, they strike a fake-dating bargain. Expect enemies-to-lovers sparks and a sunny city setting.
